About David Biggy
David is a professional sports journalist, writer and
photographer who has lived in Barnegat, N.J., with his
wife, Melissa, and stepson, Herbert, since 1999. Growing
up in North Jersey, David's passion for photography
developed during his teen years and grew along with his
interest in journalism and writing during college. Since
moving to the Jersey Shore, David's desire to get to know
lighthouses both historically and photographically
increased, and he has been shooting photos of such
historical beacons ever since. But his interest in
lighthouses doesn't end with the New Jersey coastline.
Throughout his travels to Maryland, Massachusetts,
Maine and other states, David has learned about and
photographed other lights as well. And during those
excursions, he's often found other things of which to
shoot photos, and has enjoyed every second of it.

About Biggy's Photos, Etc.
One day when Melissa was putting some of
David's photos in frames to hang on their living
room wall, she suggested that he offer his
photos to the rest of the world so others can
hang them in their homes and enjoy them as
well. David and Melissa discussed the idea
more that night, and Biggy's Photos, Etc. was
born. Before the creation of this website, David
and Melissa made their first sales on Ebay,
selling nine of David's photos during the first
week in existence from their offshoot Ebay
store, Biggy's Photos and Beyond. Of course,
the first photo purchased was of none other
than Old Barney -- one of hundreds David has
on file in his digital archives.
